A Linked List a sequential data structure where each node contains a pointer to another. It has a head and a queue.

A single Linked List is only chained in one direction whereas a double Linked List is chained in both direction.

Insertion on the head is O(1) time whereas insertion, deletion and search is O(n). Maintaining a pointer to the queue gives a O(1) time for the queue-deletion.
